Shenzhen-Zhongshan link is a core transportation hub project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It consists of one underwater tunnel, two bridges and two artificial islands, making it one of the most challenging cross-sea cluster projects in the world. The 24-km-long cross-sea link is scheduled to open to traffic on June 30. That's according to a briefing on the progress of plant culture experiments in China's space station on Monday. Seed samples of the two plants, Arabidopsis and rice, were installed in the life ecology experiment cabinet of the lab module, which went into space in July. The space growth experiments were launched on July 29 with ground instructions. The Arabidopsis seedlings have grown several leaves, and rice seedlings have grown to a height of about 30 centimeters. A new expressway passage that links northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region opened to traffic on Tuesday.
